does anyone know what happened to the savoy? i mean, i know they got in trouble with lisencing and noise pollution to stores nearby, but why the hell isnt it open? or is it?

The official story with the Savoy is that it lost its licence to sell alcohol. It could re-open as a venue, no problem, but without alcohol. The company who own it decided not to re-open as they did not see this as a viable option.

It didn't reopen due to there being too many restrictions laid down by the court.
