ok, over my short and not too numerous years i have noticed some oddities and excentricties. so i bring ye a few of them now

1, in stadiums, why are stands called stands when ppl sit in them. should they not therefore be called sits. it would only seem to make sense.

2, i work in a supermarket, its great (in a not so happy way) and every day i have to pack the sugar. does anybody else realise that sugar smells, horrid. the white crystals that we all know and love actually reeks, its the country smell too.

3, the amount of urine in a pool can be detected by the smell of chlorine, the stronger the smell of chlorine, the more urine.

4, the mention of the word "straightacting" causes the level of stress to rise to record levels on this board.

5, toppers, parers and sharpners are all the same thing, but oddly even grown men can end up in a brawl "debating"which one is the more correct name.

6, some bald men think that a comb over is attractive, my god ppl, wake up and smell the coffee. shave it off, just shave it off.

7, golf is a mundane game, think about it. it involves getting a small ball 350 yards down a field into a small hole. oh the excitment.

8, alcohol is great

9, alcohol is evil

10, there is no roof on the mens toilets in the long valley, seriously its open to the elements. i went in once and it was pouring rain, i thought i was having a major accident but heh.

why is tanora only available in cork?

Why is the coal quay pronounced 'coal k' and not 'coal key' ?

what's the difference between currents, raisins or sultanas?

the second hand on the clock in the oval seems to spend most of its time going backwards
