Eurovison 2010 ideas for chambers

I am calling all Eurovision fans to come up with NEW and EXCITING plan for Eurovision Fever this year.

lets start the debate

What would you like to see happen in Chambers?

Would you come out earlier for a pre-Show party?

Would you like to see a Eurovision show with a Favourite of all Eurovision followers?

Would you like us to run a competition where customers can dress up and preform on stage an act from Eurovision. Best act wins prises. and the customers will complete voting cards like mrgaycork?

or can you think of something really fun for all to enjoy, Maybe drinks from different countries?

NATIONAL FINALS
Screen all parts of the Swedish National Selection MELODIFESTIVALEN live. Its runs every Saturday in February and takes place between 7pm and 9pm Irish time. It has a lot of fans in Cork and will get punters in early on Saturdays. The show is simply fabulous. You could combine with Kopparberg/pizza deals etc.

PREVIEWS
Have a PREVIEW evening a week or two before the contest to whet the appetite and build a buzz for the shows themselves.
-Screen the best preview vids
-Have some live entertainment with live music/drag etc
-Sell discounted Q-skip tickets for Chambers the night of the Eurovision final

SCREENING BOTH SEMIS (Tuesday and Thursday)
-Big screen
-Volume loud enough so commentary can be heard! Otherwise Euroqueens will revolt
-Jules to play schlager, Eurovision and pop mix after the semis (these run between 8pm and 10.30pm

EUROVISION FINAL
-GIANT SCREEN
-Show contest between 8pm and 11.20pm
-DO NOT TURN OFF AFTER THE SONGS! This infuriates anyone who has come out to see it!
-If you could convince Fabula to host a concurrent live show in Chambers with voting, spot prizes etc this could run during commercials
-Free drinks for anyone in fancy dress
-Bit of a live show after the final
-Eurovison only on the decks from midnight until closing

On entrance we could each be given a envelope with the name of a competing country at random. This might drum up some team spirit for each act! The people with the envelopes of the winners and outright lowest losers all get a free shot at the bar? :)

Oh and lots of flags and maybe some wacky Euro themed cocktails!

This is a very good idea.

What we did unofficially between us there was have a pot. The person who guessed the most qualifiers got the pot.
