Instinct : 2nd Impressions and Apology

Hello all out there

Firstly.......

An Apology
In my earlier post about my first impressions at Instinct last Sunday night I
named the security chap involved in my " First Contact " as Luke.
This was wrong.
On my return to Instinct last night I met Luke, who was on duty, and he
was NOT the guy involved in the incident last Sunday.
In fact I have come across Luke at quiet a few venues in the past and
you could not wish to meet a fairer or nicer guy.

To err is human....... but an apology is well in order..... Sorry


Secondly....

An Appreciation.....
FAB place !
I just love the space. There was a big crowd there but still a huge
amount of space to move around in.
This will go a long way to cater for the diversity which it is attracting
( the twinks can be in one place and the wrinklies in another without
feeling that they are sitting on each others laps )
You can have a conversation without feeling that the entire bar is
listening in.
Staff ( some familiar and some new ) were very friendly and efficient.
Music was not my cup of tea, but some of the lads liked it.
Do need to put in some low tables, Mary will end up pulling her pint on top
of her soon !
DOORS ON THE TOILETS : What unbridled bliss !!!!!!!

All in all a great job and I wish them every success ( financial success is now
guaranteed as my massive pink euro drinks budget has been harnessed )

Late bar this Friday and Saturday night with NO cover charge.

Yay! Oh wait I'm studying tonight. And workign tomorrow night. Bah, humbug.

Well I finally made it to Instinct last night. And boy was I impressed! There was a great atmosphere there last night. For the first time I felt comofrtable bringing a group of straight people to a "gay" bar; my friends felt much more comofrtable and had a much better time than they ever would in the other Cork gay venues.

I really loved the music DJ Dermo was playing and the staff, both behind the bar and security were courteous, polite and friendly. The mini stage and pole are a really fun addition!

So in summary, I'm well impressed with Instinct. Strikes me as the kind of bar I'll feel comofrtable bringing my friends to, regardless of their sexuality.

Was in Instinct last wednesday night with a mate from the UK - was late gettingthere but had a good night

Found the experience pleasant and the bouncer at the door a ver friendly chap.

Staff seem very busy and efficient!

Most of the feedback we're getting has been in the resoundingly positive. Yay! I think it's great. What I loved about last Wednesday was that there were so many Lesbians in, I think it's so important.

I went to Instinct again Saturday night, first time since the opening, and I must say, Im impressed. Its definately a welcome change. It was full with new faces Ive never seen before, which was a bit daunting as you dont know if they're gay or not but I guess in time, it will establish itself as a gay venue and the insecurities will no longer be a factor. The bouncers were much better and not as aggressive as what they were on opening night.

Not too keen on the dancer though. :rolleyes:
