It's no big secret that O'Callaghan Properties have recently purchased the Examiner offices thus ending an entertaining 'battle of the giants' for the real estate control of that block. I would be very surprised if O'Callaghan wasn't lining up the JCBs as we speak.

If 'Two Fat Ladies' is opening I wouldn't expect a very long lease.

The examiner printing press is being decomissioned by end of 2005, with a new plant in mahon point taking up the printing, so that part of the examiner will be re-developed first.

So the new bar's life time is limited indeed

Yea the Examiner article spoke of giving vacant possesion by 2006 and that the new complex would be completed by O'Callaghans by 2007, so 2 years is about right.
