I went to see this last night and I must say I really enjoyed it. Ang Lee should take note ... this is what blockbusters should be like fast, fun, entertaining, and forgettable.

I'm tempted to say there's no plot but there is one ... a bad one. Nonetheless, it's a good, light, entertaining movie - leave your brain at reception and enjoy.

The female Terminator (referred to as a Terminatrix in one scene!) is ok, but she's nowhere near as creepy as Robert Patrick in T2. The actor who plays John Connor is cute, Claire Danes is great, and Arnie (though looking too old this time around) manages to be funny - in his way.

Incidentally, this movie is rated R in America, but here it's G, or at least it was last night in the cinema we went to see it in. G - Suitable for General Audiences? No way, it's fairly violent, it should be at least 15's! Some bribing going on, surely... get the kids in, and get more bucks. Disgusting and shameful.

have to agree with KTS - great movie! been to a few preview showings in the gate over the last 2 months (the 7pm showing) and last night was almost sold out...for the same time showing of Veronica Guerin and Charlie's Angels 2, there was only a handful of people.

Was surprised at the classification too - def not a G...

All in all, SFX are good, Arnie's wooden delivery of his one-liners are class...well worth going to see.

Oh by the way - came across this website a few weeks back - its pretty good for movies and those of you into computer games

It seems they've now changed the rating from G to 12pg, but still ... wow. I mean, episodes of "Friends" on video are 12pg and 15pg. Btw, I agree regarding rotten tomatoes - great site. But the ultimate movie site will always be http://www.imdb.com - this is what the Internet was made for!

Saw it last night. I loved it. Everyone else said it was shit though. Fair enough it had its faults - The female terminator was pathetic. The emotional facets of the T-100 may have been done well in T2, but in this film you just wanted to cringe. I also thought the bits with skynet becoming self-aware could have been a lot darker.
The best bit of the film was John Connor though in my opinion. The actor was gorgeous and had eyes that really dragged you into the character. I liked how he was suicidal at the thought of what was coming, but was kept alive by animal survival instinct. I also like how he was actually happy at the thought of becoming someone important with a purpose even though he knew what it would mean. The film also had a few interesting twists, the scenes of nuclear destruction were excellent and had a great open ending that stirred the imagination which left room for at least another trilogy(set entirely in war times) or a tv series(like stargate sg-1) in my opinion.
