The design is nice but lacks any interactivety or interesting content. The Flash header is impressive.

www.queerid.com (Queer in Dublin) is a kewl site and based themselves on us!
AS they said The site was very much inspired by the what you lot have been doing on GayCork, and I hope it can attract the same level of visitors and interaction!!!!

They should have avatars. By the way, should we be mad at them for stealing our site design? Or supportive?

How long has teh Dublin site been in operation, GayCork.com seems
to have much more traffic, I wonder it that just because we are
more computer literate down here ?

LeBaron, I think most people in Dublin use national sites like Gaire, which in any case tend to be pretty Dublin-centric. GayCork.com is popular down here because it has a little niche market for itself, whereas QueerId will probably have a hard time establishing itself as "GayDublin.com."
As for Corkonians being more computer-literate than Dubs, ain't you heard that Dublin is "The DIgital Hub"? ;-)

From where I work I get to read all the Sunday newspapers. In the sunday Mirror there was an article about Cork claiming it was the gay capital of Irelandwhich is so true!!!!!!.
Dublins gay community were supposed to be really offended. there was comments form Brian Finnegan editor from the GCN and the Cork Gay project. Was total tabloid sensationalism but very funny.
Was supposed to get to Fever tonight but got stuck in AN Brog. Annie the Helga whts her face wa there as usual.
goodnight people.

[?] Cork as the Gay Capitol of Ireland??
I dont know if i would agree with you there.. i would think that Galway has a stronger Gay influence. But then in saying that Cork has improved an awful lot in the past few years and since I dont live there anymore I havent seen this change in its full. I was really surprised to see an active website for the cork gay community - fair play, keep up the good work.

What arguments were used in this article? I don't think Cork is all that gay.

I think what Tom Red means is-
When it come to community Queer Organisations, Cork is deffo ahead of the rest or Ireland, and certainly when it comes to lesbians, there is no comparison at all.
We have-
* Cork Pay Project - http://www.gayprojectcork.com
* Linc - http://www.linc.ie
* Southern Gay Men's Health Project - http://www.gayhealthproject.com
The scene is not the gay community, Galway my have a similar scene, but has even got any organisations like above.
Dublin has similar to above , with waterford and limerick having one similar organisation...
