Best night I've had out in ages, I think others who were there would agree with me. Greece won.

Helena Paporizou, from Greece, with "My Number One"

Yes, it was your best night out alright. Kissing me on the forehead, grabbing my ass, telling me "you scare me at times, but you're cute, bless", hugging me tightly and licking RedBullJunkie. One of your best alright.

Yes I was quite "touchy feely" in Instinct alright. Not my usual self.

You tried to finger my anus through my jeans and stroked my crotch as my classmates looked on aghast.

And that was the closest amnesiac has come to any action in quite some time! [:-D]

Yes, I was trying in on with Ippy (as a joke), his boyfriend (as a joke, not seriously), I got "upset" when Freshrboi reminded me he was leaving this thursday[:-((] , kissing strangers, etc, etc....

I remember it all, I was hyper and drunk, y'all have seen it before. [:-P]

Well obviously they're quite a boring bunch then. They need to see the world a bit more.

Who could forget the shrine to Tanya, Tracy, Agnetha and Anna-Frid built at the table in the Mercury Lounge. Tanya was being passed around a lot so people could see her giblets under her arms.

i'd say that's the last Eurovision party the MErcury Lounge is going to hold

Well it's definitely the last party I'll hold there!
Dodgy food, dodgier cocktails and management tried to renege on a guarantee to have the voting screened!

I thought the cocktails were good, the food I had was delicious and I had to consult dictionary.com to find out what "renege" meant. [:-D]

On a negative note, they did go to the trouble of getting a widescreen, but didn't set the picture up for widescreen. The eurovision was being broadcast in 16:9, but they were showing a stretched out 4:3 crop!

I first began to notice this when I thought the performers looked fat. But I was informed that was just Chiara. But I also noticed that the text was getting chopped off at the sides.

This was the first ever Eurovision broadcast in 16:9, but it's hard to find the best compromise "for all" setting on a Sky digital box given that some channels broadcast in widescreen and some are insisting on maintaining a 4:3 output.

Our Chiara came second. I think all her exposure on GayCork.com might have had a small part to play!

my favourite part of apollo drunk was when he "sashayed"(the only way of describing his walk) up to me at the glass collection hatch iin instinct and proceeded to tell me about some siberian twins having sex in the toilet, then freaking when he realised: "oh yeah, she works here, she's supposed to stop stuff like that." :p

that's a shame. i generally find the food and cocktails to be very good (not because i'm a former employee, either), but i'm sorry if the management was inadequate. having stayed long past the voting, i found that the regular, busy saturday night crowd came after the eurovision crowd left, so there really were no concerns regarding lack of business.

I think that, if someone wanted to hold a Eurovision night again, provided things were ironed out with the management in writing weeks in advance, it would still be alright.

it was a trial run, no place is perfect. From what it sounds like though, Instinct was a great venue as well.

Well in fairness to the manager, it did not take long at all to get some volume back for the voting. And I though the food looked lovely but I was told it didn't taste quite so good.

My friend Anna and I have privately agreed to never watch Eurovision in a bar again though. We are too draconian for non Eurovision freaks! [:-D]

I wouldn't get the food in there myself cos I'm a jumped-up-shit but I adore the cocktails. Maybe I'm biased cos I think the manager was cute.

Ippy dubbed the Pina Colada "Pint of Cum for Ya." It tasted horrid. The manager is cute but I think your friend who bounces there is hotter! [:-P]
