Goodbye Lenin!

Anyone see this German comedy about the fall of the Berlin Wall? It's fantastic. Easily the best film I have seen which deals with reunification and I've sat through one or two as a student of the german langauge!

Sharp, hilariously funny yet incredibly touching and poignant throughout. The acting is superb and the direction is quite good. And the male lead is a dead ringer for Jake Gyllenhaal... yum D

Perhaps it could be a little bit shorter and at times the plot meanders to a certain extent. But Goodbye Lenin should help dispel any myths about German Film lacking emotion and humour. And more than makes up for the abysmal Mostly Martha I fell asleep through earlier this summer.

This was brilliant, very funny especially for a German movie, I dread the rumours I've heard about the Hollywood remake (Like, how?!) ... but maybe if they had Mr. Gyllenhall it wouldn't be too bad ... wait, yes it would, but he's still great.

Amnesiac, have you seen Moonlight Mile? What did you think?
