Am I going mad or was there already a topic posted about this? I've searched all over the site, but can't find one ... I'm sure there was one; was it deleted or something?
Anyhow, just went to see this (it's only showing in the Capitol Cineplex by the way). It's ok, obviously shot on a shoe-string budget as the sound quality is awful. It's kind of wishy-washy to be honest, like an extended episode of "Fair City", but of a slightly higher quality.
I really wanted to like it because it's Irish and very gay ... but to be honest, it's not great. It's far from awful, but the acting's pretty bad, the gayness (though plentiful) seems a bit forced ... none of the gay characters seem realistically gay.
I don't know - did I like it or not? I enjoyed watching it, but it's not really a good film. Besides, there's loads like it (English and not as gay though) "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "This Year's Love", etc. and this just seems like a poor man's version of these, it's only unique selling point being that its set in Dublin and there's lots of gay/bisexual characters in it.
E for effort, certainly ... and the actor from "Bachelor's Walk" is really cute, so I must admit it quite turned me on seeing him kissing another bloke.[)]
