Just a little note here.
I've recently started a programming course in edition to working part-time in a bookshop.
Today was the first day, and the tedious little getting to know you games were being played. So we all had to stand up and say a little bit about ourselves, etc.
This one lady stood up and after summarising her life to that point (as we all had been doing) said (this is from memory so obviously not a direct quote)
"Now I'm going to tell you something personal. I've had some problems with this in other groups in the past, so I want to get it out of the way now. I'm gay, and I hope you can all accept it or at least just live with it."
I just thought this was fairly cool Fair Play to her! I personally didn't feel the did to this (although I did tell her later I really admired her for doing it - which is true) but I think it shows courage on her part, and it was really quite a nice moment.
