Saw david Kitt live for the first time in the Savoy last night. What a great gig. The support was poor... a god awful few numbers from a band called Jape and a workmanlike performance from Manchester band I Am Kloot. Kitt himself though, and his band were superb. He combined his trademark big bittersweet ballads from The Big Romance and Square 1 with uptempo rock and a cover or two. Much more energetic on satge than I thought I would be, along with the crazy dancing trumpet guy he had the Savoy buzzing. Played well into the wee hours and was well worth the €17.50 cover charge. Anyone else make it?
