He's sooo cute. I'm even getting broody! I thought I didn't like children until i had my little one. Now i love babies/children. I'm after turning into one of those "moms" gushing over babies, know everything there is to know about them. It I was on Mastermind it would be my specialist topic!

Have a look at the wife swap thread. It was about a gay couple last night. It was very good. I some times think men make better "mothers" than women. Do you're family see you so as the eternal batchelor? Surely they must suspect something!

I think they see me as asexual - which of course couldn't be further from the truth!!!
I'm planning on telling a couple of my siblings quite soon but I found it a difficult step to take , I've come out to "close" friends in the past and they took it badly.

Ha ha, Joe I agree with her there. I find myself sometimes asking my little one to pass something to me, more often than not she walks away or else throws it to me. You must remember the little folk are NOT your personal servants! [:-))] [:-))]

[:-))] ah sure you'll well used to your "good" clothes getting destroyed then! whatever you do avoid black tops with leaky breasts, I learned the hard way [:-))] [:-))] I suppose I should really move off this topice now. Anyhoo enjoy motherhood and all its got to offer. Wait til you're woken at 7.00 a.m. after a night on the tiles to "mummy, mummy, MUMMY"

i am actually fascinated by this topic, when do the breasts stop producing milk?
does it taste the same as regular milk? i would ask my mum but everything i ask her i keep getting "35 fucking hours of labour thats all you need to know"
Nula i told ya just give the little one some brandy and cough mixture she will be out like a light.

Ya Joe and the Social would be around so fast...
Breast milk looks thinner than normal milk. I've never actually tasted it myself but I think its sweet. Babies seem to like it so it must be good!! lol As for the labour part, i cheated, well it wasn't by choice had a c-section (as blood pressure was high) and I wasn't even awake for it! I had it under general anesthetic. Basically I was brought into hospital put to sleep woke up and there was a baby by magic next to me!

I have never given the cough mixture and brandy to any child *looks nervous*
Thanks for the explanation Nula my mum had a C section with my youngest sister she was a big fucker too 11lbs (the baby not my mum)
so is it best to have a C section or pop it out the natural way?

Right apparently children who are born by c-section are less content, crying all the time etc as they didn't come into the world the "normal" way. That's according to my religious cousin who is on baby no.5! Personally I don't believe that as my litte one was a very happy bunny she hardly ever cried or bawled her eyes out for hours on end. My sister was a whopper to 12lbs 1 oz! I really don't know how my mother delivered her.
I really don't know if this is appropriate for this thread but sure I'm sure Admin will lock the site if he's not happy with the ramblings!

I was fine after the cesaerean. I think the initial fear of not being able to walk terrified me as I wasn't prepared to have a cesaerean. When the nurse got me out of bed the next day to go for a little walk I was fine and the baby took the breast straight away. My experience of the whole Cesaerean route of child birth was great, thank God. The only thing that I did experience was the "baby blues" on day three. I remember my milk was "coming in" all the baby wanted to do was nurse all day, loads of people were coming into to see us. Some were critising me for breast feeding saying it was too demanding. In the end I got out of the bed with my baby walked out of my room left them all standing there telling me what was right and wrong and went down to the nursery to the nurses and had a good cry. Went back to my room and all the visitors had left. After that I never took a tack of notice what people said to me regarding their views on raising baby. That's the one thing I hated when you have had a baby other people shoving their opinions and views on you. So I used to just leave it all go over my head. My baby my way!
Have you got any of that yet Sidhbhra?

baby no5????? jesus she must have a bucket at this stage and tucking her tits into her shoes. if you think your sister was big at 12lbs My nans brother was 17lbs when he was born.
I have always said i never wanted children as frankly there is not a maternal bone in my body, i just dont have anything to offer a child right now and i may not for a long time yet.
but 10 or 20 years from now then who knows?

I'm very pleased for her i assumed the days of big familys were over? I'm 1 of 4 myself (jesus i sound like the borg) and my father is 1 of 14 kids. 1 child would be enough for me don't think i could handle more then that so fair play to anyone who has more then that, i salute you [:-D]
