This program may be of benefit to some of the posters here who have friends and family all over the world
heres the link http://www.voipcheap.co.uk/en/index.html

its only in the beta stages at the moment but i have not found any problems with it yet. the only downside if you could call it a downside is that you have to put £10 credit into it to get the free calls. they give you a list of the countrys that you can call for free (landlines only)

anyways just thought i'd mention it cause being xmas and all people might like to give friends and family a call over da xmas.

Nope never heard of skype but people can make up their own minds about which programs they wish to use.

I'll stick with Voipcheap for the meantime and if i have any probs with it then i will give skype a go.

Wel Skype is the market leader in this. Its technology is appears to be better than Voip. Doesn't have free calls (unless calling another skype user) but you still get extremly good value for money.

Well with voip you can call another voip user for free and as i said in previous post they do require you to top up by £10 which i think is more then fair considering you get to call most countrys landlines for free.

however if you call a mobile its taken away from your credit but if you stick to calling landlines then your credit remains untouched.
