I was just having a little fondle with the dogs there a few mins ago.. and I was thinkin... If the boys could talk... what kind of accent would they have..??
The Goldfish looks like Gerry Adams, so I know what he'd be talkin like..
'FEED ME NOOOOWWWW!! I WONT ACCEPT NO AS AN ANSWER!!'
Since I will never know what accents the dogs would have.. I decided to ask..
Whats your faveroute accent?
Mine are mulitple.. I love the Belfast, Scottish, Welsh, London and Cork accents.
As a Dub, the Cork accent is incredibly funny to me... 'Chalk it down boi! Chalk it down!'
Ne way.. let the accent fantasys begin..

I like the Welsh accent too, but I think my favourite is German-speaking-English, I love it!
Most Irish and Scottish accents leave me totally cold; and, in certain cases, have been known to result in thrown ashtrays, strained vocal chords, &etc. (see 'Fair City', 'Coronation Street').

Mine are in this order:
Northern Ireland (don't know why?)
Austrailian (They may sound a little stupid but that's a little bit of a turn on)
Italian( for the romantic in me!!)
London ( posh totty)
East European (good for a bit of rough!!)

I can't stand the Northern Irish accent, or Scottish - they sound harsh to my ears. The Australian accent does my head in, as well as some American dialects. I like the Texan drawl though (think this harks back to watching "Dallas" as a baby gay).
I like the French accent or Italian, and coming from West Cork, I like the Cork (city) accent.

As a rule accents never really do it for me... I'm not a big fan of Eastern European Accents or African Accents (nothing against the people though) or any accent that impeeds the Langauge.
Just Give me someone who can speak properly... that'll do.[:-?]

I cant understand the scottish accent at ALL
I was in amsterdam for my birthday last year and was walking to a club and this guy came up to us and started talking - i couldnt understand him so naturaly i assumed he was speaking dutch - so i said "English" - he said "scottish" and i said "no im Irish, can you speak english" and he said "I AM SPEAKING ENGLISH - IM FROM SCOTLAND" :"> he was not impressed
I really like the Dublin accent especially D4, im probably the only person in the world who thinks this but i like the American accent too.
I loved the cork accent when i first got here but hearing it eveyday is overkill so it doesnt have the same effect anymore.

We were in the car with my partner's Dad and he was in a multi-story car park and this exchange with a lady (total stranger):
"Are you pulling out there, Love?"
"I am, Love"
Only in Cork, like...

That's so weird! When I lived there it took me a good six months to get used to it, and that was Edinburgh, so no nasty common Scotch, either!

It has to be the French speaking French .. what a romantic accent. The Italians and Spanish are too hyper and fast and the Northern European accents are harsh and cold. I like the slow, soft and singing North country cork accent

I love the spanish accent. I know this guy who speaks it in a throaty but meek voice, and it almost makes me cry each time!
I used to like the Northern Ireland accent until I spent a summer in the states on a J1 and the feckers were everywhere and it got on my goat.
Hate the welsh accent, the english accent makes my ears bleed! Love the french accent, not mad about the Italian or German.
In terms of local accents, I love the wexford accent, its very soft. Same with Clare and galway. Like the norrie accent aswell. Its like music.

I really like when people talk in their own accents it does my nut in when people put on accents to try and come accross as posh and better than everyone else, like when someone from the back of nowhere has a Dublin 4 accent or the Cork equivalent 'Cork Con accent'.
I really like the Scottish accent as well. It just seems so butch and I always associate it with Sean Connery in his James Bond days.
I'm loving Pete Burns Liverpool accent on Celeb BB. It was so funny when he told Rula to 'Go Fuck Herself' last night.
Not a fan of the Northern Irish accent or Australian.
When I lived in New York they loved my Cork accent.
I like to think I have a strong Cork accent but also have good elocution, I think it's possible for the two to coexist! :)

Forget about the shaggin' accents for a mo.The original poster needs to explain what type of "fondling" exactly was he doing with his dog?Was it consensual? Is the dog above the age of consent?Does either party think it should be mentioned in the confessional,or ,horror of horrors,is either party a non-catholic?

To the above.. Fondling means to pat or stroke in a gentle yet tickley way..
I'll leave the rest up to your imagination!! :)

I love a french man. Don't exactly care what language hes speaking but if they're speaking english I like men from Marseilles and if they're speaking french I like men from Paris or just outside of it. [@-)]
Can't understand the Scottish accent. Plus it's just too harsh.
Don't get me started on German accents. Can't stand them. Make my skin crawl.[:-&]
Hate American accents but love Canadian accents which everyone finds odd.
Hate Australian accents but love New Zealand people's accents.
Love a nice educated Dublin accent.
Love a russian accent. It's soft on all the right letters and the way they roll their rs..................[=p~]
And sorry boys but I can't stand a strong Cork accent. Have to find someone with a neutral enough sounding accent if I meet a guy down here. Otherwise it would (and has) driven me insane.

For me it very much depends on the individual. Two people could have identicle accents but one could wreck your head and the other you could listen to 24/7.

Ive always wondered what my accent sounds like to a person from lets say... cork.... or Galway....

I have to say the wee northern accents get me goping each time, closely followed by the French accent.
My accent is neutral enough though, kind of 1/4 of cork, waterford, dublin, uk .

Ok since I’m living in New Jersey I have to say that I am crazy about the real New York accents, then would have to be the North side of Cork City even though I’m from Carrigaline. Then I would have to say Bostonian's have the third best accent for me, fourth is Canadian, and last it would be Australian.

I love the scottish accent
You don't even notice it after a while, I think that's with all accents. If you "immerse" yourself amongst those with the accent you just kind of become unawares to it, unless the accent is really strong and hence (in the case of the Scottish accent) not understandable.
