FREDDY VS JASON

It seems like an idea two drunk slasher-movie fans once tossed about, "Who do you think would win if Freddy and Jason got in a fight?"

And after two long, increasingly dire franchises, Hollywood makes a movie based on that idea, really scraping the barrel this time.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, the first half is a rather good unashamedly blatant slasher movie. The second half is just plain ridiculous (or should that be more ridculous as the entire movie is), with silly fights between Jason and Freddy and tons of fake aertial spray blood (that's gotta be seen to be believed).

Theres talk of a sequel Jason and Freddy against Ash from Evil Dead.

The ending's kinda fucked up anyhow, but sure even when they die, they always come back for a sequel when Hollywood wants money from em, i.e. Friday the 13th The Final Chapter (1984) and Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare (1991) and Jason Goes to Hell The Final Friday (1993) killed them off but then they were brought back for more. Pathetic.

Ive been a big fan of both franchise and really enjoyed the film. I think it would have been better at the end if they had both woken in hell and Pin head from the hell raiser series caught them both. That would have been cool.
