Has anyone been to see the new Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger film. Just went to see it and really enjoyed it. It's not a really serious film but a feel good film. I think anyone who enjoyed Moulin Rouge or Chicago will realy enjoy it. It's not a musical but would be fab if it was. At the end credits Ewan and Renee sing a duet which alone made the film worth seeing. Anyone else see it?
I've included the word of the duet so ye can all sing to your little hearts content!

C Barbara, I'd like to propose a toast, to the topic I dig the most
B Catch, let me dust off my loving cup
C&B Hey bartender! Fill 'er up!

B Look how the neon starts to flicker
C Love's like a shot but works much quicker
B And you're a man who can hold his liquor
C&B Cheers, here's to love!

B I'm an old fashioned but you're the cherry
C I've got a thirst that's legendary
B That's why I fired your secretary
C&B Cheers, here's to love!

C Life's a martini
B And you're the shaker
C And baby I sure packed a punch!
B Hey! You make Dean Martin look like a Quaker
C But now it's only you for dinner...
B Breakfast...
C ...and lunch

C I hear the march that's calling for us
B We'll walk down the aisle to an angels' chorus
C I'll be your Rock if you'll be my Doris
C&B Sweet heavens above!

B Why is the waiter smiling at us?
C He knows what we're thinking of!
C Oh, Can he?
C&B Cheers! Cheers! Baby, here's to love!

B You've got the lips to wet my whistle
C If that doesn't get ya, maybe this'll
B Cupid just launched a guided missile
C&B Cheers, here's to love!

B Your eyes are so intoxicating
C Bottoms up, babe, let's get to mating
B I'll bet it bears reiterating
C&B Cheers, here's to love!

R&C Though it ain't New Year's, pop the champagne and let's take a spin on the floor
C Your moves are good
B I'm feeling no pain
C&B So let's pay the check and slip out the back door!

C&B We took Manhattan without the bitters
We're staying put, last call's for quitters
Soon it will be just babysitters
C 'Cause this hawk's now a dove!
C Baby the cab is blowing its horn!
B But I can't find my hat and my gloves!
C Oh, Can it?
C&B Cheers! Cheers! Baby, here's to love!

C Here's mud in your eye
B Here's lookin' at you, kid
C Here, this'll put hairs on your chest. Not that I would want that.
C&B Here's to love...

I saw this movie about three weeks ago on a flight and the only good thing i can say about it that it killed an hour and a half of my travel time.

I'm sorry but the whole cheesy-ness of the movie was total overkill!

In my opinion, don't bother wasting your €7 (or less if your a student of course)

I loved it! It was a wonderfully silly, escapist film.

haven't seen it, but didn't like the above quotes. Maybe I just don't appreciate the subtlety of British humour. (cue five bobbies bursting in my door in single file waving batons and chasing me erratically around the room to the sound of chase music).
