See the story below. Unknown Sligo band to perform in Eurovision for Ireland next year in a repeat of last year's process.

Guess Dervish doesn't want either fame or money or acclaim, then.

Somehow I don't think they'll have the big dance number required to win it.

They are a trad band who produce "magical music from Ireland". Perhaps RTE are trying to pull off another Riverdance?

Someone told me they were involved in the writing of The Voice. So expect a similar Celtic-themed tune. I think they could do well enough.

Not exactly, they were asked to get involved with the writing of The Voice but i believe they were busy that day and couldn't take part.
They are a band of 6 members, and you can only have 6 people on stage at once in a Eurovision act so they won't be able to bring in danceers of any sort. They'll have to dance with their accordions.

Live music is now verboten on the Eurovision stage... I wonder do these guys realise this? They will have to faux-perform with a backing track...

Traditional-ish Irish music being mimed, should have a good chance of winning!
