Hi Mark

Had an absolute ball last year in Athens but I really dont know if I can justify the expense for Helsinki.Tkt for the Final on Saturday are starting at €195.00 .Only one third of the tickets are being sold outside of finland to the genral public and also the capacity of the venue is smaller then last year.I have been trying to get accom in Helsinki over the last few weeks but again what is there is treble the normal rate.Log onto www.devoted.to/eurovision for a details re tkts venue and accomodation or www.esctoday.com for all the goss.

If you can stretch to it I would deffo re-commend it .It was "GAYER" then any pride events I have been to.

Thanks Sheila.... there's a camp site a few kilometres outside on town.. acessible by tram as well iirc. When I stayed in a hotel last year (Hotel Arthur?) it was about £70 a night. Flights from Manchester are about £250.

I've been to Helsinki twice before, lovely city, lovely people.. especially thhis one guy.....

It's 13kms from the centre of Helsinki. Rastila I think it's called. I don't fancy paying 130 a night for a hotel room.

It's on the Metro line, so getting to and from there should be easy.

I wonder if the city council will sort something out nearer to town?

Have a look on www.helsinki.fl as well.
