HaHa
quote
"This dump is walking! The floors and especially the chairs are filthy and the toilets would get the place closed down by Health and Safety. It's too small, too crowded and the stereo system is shit. The only good point is the staff are nice but there are loads of other better pubs with nice staff. I'll NEVER go there again, the shithole. "

why is taboo only open to 11.30 each night (except sundays), why does it not stay open to 12.30 on fridays and saturdays?

Really? I didn't realise this. Most likely because most of the patrons feck of the club so there's no business. Or maybe there's some agreement between Taboo and The Other Place?
Regarding the reviews, I totally agree Taboo got what it deserved, and was very happy with the review of Loafers. Keep it up Hoggy!

jesus, if everyone hates taboo so much, it's a wonder they have any business at all.

A hamlet implies a village with a church. Apart from worshiping at the alter of Fabula from time to time, so we need a church ?

a hamlet is actually a small village without a church, rather than with.
douglas st was kind of turning into a gay village with loafers, the trinity and linc, but that seems to have stopped since the trinity turned into a "sports" bar, whatever that is.

A Sports Bar implies a Plastic-Fantastic Trendy Setting With or Without Men in Blazers and Jeans.

..the church... a good name for a gay bar, judging by the lengh of time we would like to spend on our knees!

LOL - for years, I wanted to call a gay bar 'Joan Crawford Versus The Infernal Machine' - long but perfectly formed.

When the Trinity first opened it had a picture of Michelangelos David outside... so I thought the obvious name was going to be Camp David.... was disapointed that they chickened out
