So what's planned to highlight world aids day?

Gay Men's Website;
World AIDS Day this year will see the launch of the most comprehensive Gay Men's Health site in the country www.gayhealthproject.com.
The launch party will take place on the 1st in The Other Place Resource Centre at 6pm.
It will be a wine reception and there is an open invitation to all the forum members of GayCork.com. (More details will follow)

HIV+ Forum -
in conjunction with Queer.ie we have set up a forum specifically for HIV Positive men. This will be a platform to air their views on life with HIV, their medication regimes, prejudice, sex and relationships.

HIV Positive Support Group -
we are also starting a support group for HIV positive men in the Southern Health Board region (Cork & Kerry). We've had our first meeting already and it is a safe space for HIV positive men to meet and chat with other positive men.

HIV Campaign
- at Gay venues across the city, the Outreach Team will be out in force, distributing condom packs, selling red ribbons and if anyone wants to talk about issues regarding their sexual health that can be arranged.

I sometimes get confused on this ; Do we have an Irish Aids day on a different date from World Aids day ?

Irish AIDS Day this year was 15th of June

Why do we do it on a different day ?

We'd just have to be different wouldn't we? And June 15th is about as far away from December 1st as one can get.
Although I must say LeBaron contributed HANDSOMELY to an Irish Aids Day Collection box back in June.
