talking to yourself

i worry about myself, i really do. i began to notice that i talk to myself about 3 months ago. now i dont mean that i think to myself. i actually talk out loud and have full conversations with myself about some of the weirdest things. for example, i was driving home yesterday after work and i started talking out loud to myself about this wall thats alongside the road near where i live. peculiar.

it has gotten to such a stage that its becoming embarassing. last week i was in the kitchen listening to the radio. my father was outside and there was nobody else in the house. so anyway im sitting on the counter listening to the bore on radio 1, joe duffy or something. and i start talking to the radio, and the conversation invariably leads on to this guy i know. i start to talk outloud about this guy i know, my father comes into the room, i havent noticed and i am still talking. after about 5 - 6 minutes my father just says outloud, "if you hadnt told me that you are gay that would have really freaked me out". i didnt even know he was standing there. it was quite embarassing but i have learned to laugh about it.

so does anyone else speak to themselves and what prey tell did we say?

I talk to myself, although its more a commentary on things. I know I'm talking to myself though and have never caught myself talking to myself, if you know what I mean.

I'll give out to things like the fridge and the radio and many other inanimate objects but I'll do that with people around too.

I talk to myself regularly, but only if there's noone around (it's embarrassing if you think noone's around, and then you realise shit there's someone in the next room). My mother has caught me on many occasions. People who sit around in park cars are annoying as well, sometimes I walk down the road and start thinking out loud thinking there's noone around and find someone staring out a car window at me. Mostly just thinkng out loud, lot of people do it. If I'm hungover/dehydrated I talk to myself uncontrollably tourette's syndrome style which is very disconcerting as I tend to shout and snap at myself and stuff. I also tend to blurt out names of people who affect me as well. Needless to stay I'm trying to cut drink out of my life at the moment, although people around me aren't making that easy.

Mostly though, I have these big elaborate fantasies and I'm playing a role in my head or if I'm writing a movie or a fanfic I'll be going inside one of the character's heads at very innapropriate times.

Or sometimes I start thinking about some joke and I'll start giggling like a lunatic. Of course, everyone then thinks you're a lunatic..

I talk to myself all the time. It used be only when there was nobody around, although recently.. when I'm cycling to work I get thinking, abd before I know it I'm having a full-blown conversation with myself, in the middle of like a traffic jam or something..

i don't talk to myself out loud, but i usually have an interior monologue going on in my head. and did you ever see someone walking down the street smiling and laughing to themselves? i do it all the time thinking about funny things that have happened to me.

the worst is when I'm in the middle of a meeting and I laugh out loud at something that happened earlier in the day.
