It is with great regret that Ms Fabula DiBeaumarchais’ press-office announces her final and definite departure from Taboo Bar, Faulkner’s Lane.

Spokesman for DiBeaumarchais Entertainments Ltd., Tony Christopher, gave the following exclusive statement to gaycork.com ‘Ms. DiBeaumarchais feels disappointed that her time in Taboo Bar is over, but wishes them well for the future. She is looking forward to working closer with the Alternative Miss Cork 2004 Committee, and her work with the GayCork.com website will continue. She is also in the process of developing closer working links with the Waterford and Limerick gay scenes, and promises to return in early 2004 with an all-new weekly show for her Cork fans. ‘.

One of the original weekly entertainment engagements in Taboo Bar, Fabula has worked on many different projects with the Bar, including Karaoke, Bingo, Play Your Cards Right, and Cabaret shows. As the original Alternative Miss Cork, she has represented Cork at various local and national events, and has performed to wide and diverse audiences in Waterford, Cork and Limerick. Originally a staple of The Other Place club, she now hopes to concentrate on her upcoming shows and magazine work.

‘She will be back, ‘, said Christopher, ‘if I can manage to keep her clean and sober until the New Year.
