Hiya, I found this site by googling Gay and Cork... go figure. I'm 20, going to UCC, repeating first year cos I failed last time, due to lack of effort(different course this time). So, umm, yeah, how is everyone?

Give it 4 years and you'll learn to hate it [:-P]

I'm currently crawling through 2nd biochem after wasting time faffing about in astrophysics. If I can pass this year and get into plant biotech, I'll be flying!

I had 2 physics modules last year(with Stephen Fahy), didn't like 'em at all, one of the reasons I failed the course. They were part of the astrophysics course, methinks

But why are u not doing a proper course like ARTS!!!!!

I went to the careers office last year and a lady there told me not to do Arts. She said any other course would be better. She went on for 5 minutes 'bout it, then told me to do Accounting or BIS, or anything else businessy. I think she must have been a business lecturer in disguise as a career guidance lady, trying to get people to do her course cos she was adamant that I do a business course.

Thanks for the welcomes

Welcome 9throck! A friend of mine used to work in the careers office but think she'd already left by last year. Next time I see her will be sure to ask did they have a policy to knock arts degrees [;-)]

ah BIS and accounting are great. i did arts for my first degree, and then when it came time for me to find a job, i realised i should probably do a master's in something, erm, more practical

no offense to any arts people, my degree was in drama studies (easy mark, i know!)

welcome!
