Hello Everyone,
With permission from JP I am writing here to tell you about my meditation centre in Castletownshend, near Skibbereen.
Stress is such a big problem for us today but, I can tell you with confidence, that medium to long-term meditating (in a very practical way) can be most effective in bringing that inner peace that we are all looking for and so returning us to the enjoyment of life that can have eluded us. I have to be honest and say that this is not a quick fix. It does require commitment to sit and do the meditation each day. But the rewards are great indeed and, contrary to what you may think, a very busy mind or a very busy life is no barrier to succeeding. This is the way we all start.
I am very welcoming to members on this site, having had the most wonderful gay friends (who I still miss) when I was living in New York and working in window display on Fifth Avenue in the '80s. What a time I had.
I can run meditation weekends (or midweek) for groups of friends who would like to get together in such a peaceful environment. I can also host individuals or groups just looking for a 'peaceful haven' for quiet time, even if you are not taking a course.
I am also running a week long meditation course in September in a surprise location in Ireland, to be announced later, if you fancy joining me. It will be for a small group of like-minded people, max of 6. Maybe you have not made any holiday plans as yet. We are all looking forward to the glorious sunshine that will have surely arrived by September!
If a group of friends in your local area would like me to teach you meditation then that is also possible, I can travel to you.
If you would like to know more, you can see my website www.bigmoon-cottage.com (http://www.bigmoon-cottage.com) or email me on contact@bigmoon-cottage.com
All the best till we meet sometime
Susan O'Brien
