I love the books and I think the films are great as far as children's films are concenred. Think Dumbledore will be killed off at the end of Book 6 and I would turn in my grave if I were dead if Richard Harris is replaced by Chrsitopher Lee. Oh, and Oliver Wood is HOT.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Book 5 is long, long overdue. Apparently JK Rowling finds writing much more time consuming now she's run out of original material to plagarise. Ooh, wouldn't you know this bitch has just failed an exam (
Hopefully Spring 2003....

I love the whole Harry Potter thing. Just recently became it addicted to it. When I was in Florida my asshole ex-boyfriend ruined the whole week so I spent the week content reading all four books. Loved the films; think second one is much better. Am dying to read 5th book but I heard a rumour it might not be out till 2004... AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Let this just be about Harry Potter in general - all the books, movies, etc. cos the other topic is only about book 5, Phoenix.
Now that all the fuss about Phoenix has died down, what's everyone's favourite Harry Potter book out of the five, and what are your favourite in order or preference? My top one is book 5, Goblet, and in order of pref
5 HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (4th Book)
4 HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN (3rd Book)
3 HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (5th Book)
2 HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (2nd Book)
1 HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE (1st Book)
Note Picture 1 - of first 3 books; Picture 2 - of 4th book; Picture 3 - of 5th book.

Just some updates - or rather, rumours - about Harry Potter.
Two things There's a rumour going about that, despite being intended for a 2004 release, HP & the Prisoner of Azakaban will be released X-mas 2003 ... kind of a rush job.
And regarding the books, JK Rowling hasn't set any dates for Volumes 6 & 7, but apparently Volume 6 will be released in 2004, and will be the shortest HP book yet. Volume 7 is apparently going to be the longest book yet.

Anyone read the article about Harry Potter's apparent queerness in this month's GCN?

yeah. you can read queerness into practically anything if you look hard enough these days. It's like the thing with teenage boys being able to find sexual innuendo in everything.
