Ali Baba and the 40 Queens proved to be the most humorous panto I've seen in ages!
It’s set in Baghdad barber shop run by a mother and her 2 sons. Hilarity starts when they get paid a visit by an American solider (followed by “General Ratzinger”) looking for Sodom and his weapons of "Mass Seduction".
Quite a few straight people were there and they laughed along with us heartily, especially at the risqué waxing scene!
Overall the panto was well written, with plenty of local gags, and the costumes, dancing, singing equaled any mainstream panto.
Credit must go to “Rainbow Theatre” and “The Cork Community Development Project” for this superb production.

Hi.......been away for a while but heard a mixed reaction to the panto. The comments I heard were that it was well written but some of the old cast members were sorely missed. Any one else comment who was there?
