welcome ros_boi [B-)]

wasn't sure about the quote thing myself, but i just tried it out:

'Post Reply' appears regardless of whether or not you're logged in. If you're not logged in, it will prompt you to log in. Otherwise, it's a general reply to the thread.

'Quick Reply', if you're already logged in, doesn't take you to another screen, it scrolls down to the bottom of the window and lets you type your reply in straight away.

ultra-super-nerdy-technical crap (you've been warned!)
i *think* (admin would know better, he's kinda all-knowing round these parts) that the way the forum is set up, a 'thread' is a group of posts on a given topic. on a thread, you can have posts. you're able, then, to reply to a specific post on a thread (and someone could reply to that reply, and so on). it's kind of like, if you have a debate going on, and someone starts a sort of conversation on the side...i think, i could be completely wrong! but if you mess arround with the 'View' feature, you'll see what I mean. (Admin, seriously, correct me here cuz I have no idea what I'm on about!)

No, to start a new thread, click on NEW thread in the blue navbar above and then select the category you wish to post a new thread in [:-P]

Quick reply is what it says, in that it allows you to reply on the same page to any post (be sure to click on http://www.gaycork.com/forum/images/buttons/quickreply.gif first),
rather than open a new page to reply. In other words its quicker!

lol it took me a minute to get the reference. very slow today [:'']

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

although you're quite right, there are generally a few trolls on the classifieds section [:-P]
