Eric Bana gets a bad case of Syphilis as Ang Lee attempts to inject art into a Hollywood blockbuster, and fails miserably.

This is a dire movie. The first hour is excruciatingly boring. And the constant split screens are headache-inducing. Split screens, screens merging into one, etc. look pretty good, and can be great if used sparingly and appropriately. However, in this movie they pop up every few seconds, like the opening credits of the old TV show "Dallas". Apparently these are here to try to distract the viewer from the complete absence of plot or anything even remotely resembling one.

Eric Bana is a terrible actor, so wooden he makes Keanu Reeves look like Orson Welles. The movie also manages to waste good actors like Sam Elliot, Nick Nolte and Jennifer Connelly - not only that, but their acting is pretty awful in this movie too.

It is very rare that I walk out of a movie before it is over, but this one had me racing for the door, and breathing a sigh of relief once I had escaped it.

Like a bad dream you can't wake up from, "Hulk" is possibly the worst movie of recent times.

as a comic fan, i REFUSE to go see this. the disappointment of Spidey was enough to turn me off movie-offshoots-from-comics forever

Picture this Tank_Girl This movie is easily 25 million times worse than Spidey, and exaggerate I do not!

I have to say I enjoyed Spiderman immensely, and i am a fan of the cartoon and the comic books.

i'm dreading seeing the hulk, because i adored the t.v. show.
but i have to see it. just have to.

spidey at the time, i wasn't too bothered by it, I was happy i got to see my superhero in action. but the more I thought about it, I'd spent years in me childhood looking up to that superhero (forgive me I'm a nerd), then look at the mess they made of it. Sure, Spidey was well made, but where was the essence of the story? the humanity of Peter Parker? his agony in keeping a secret from everyone in his life (getting the parallels here anyone??). I mean they got bits of that right, but I think in general they missed the essence of Spidey because they were so busy with the goblin and the special effects.
(feckit, let any teenage queer at that script and they coulda gotten the real point across)

Sorry, rant over..

I really think its about time they stopped making fools outta themselves (marvel I mean). I know tho that they almost went bankrupt, so thats half the reason why they went ahead with all these crappy films....

I swear it was half the reason I abandoned major label comics

Eric Bana is fantastic in "Chopper"

X-men 2 is the best comic book adaptation I've ever seen on the big screen. I thought Spidey was good entertainment for the kiddies... a lot like the Harry Potter franchise.
Watching clips of the awful SFX in "The Hulk" is enough to turn me off, despite the presence of Ang Lee. (Though I must admit Shadow's "opening sequence of Dallas" quip has me strangely intruiged). I think it was a Guardian critic who put it best.... he looks more like the inbred cousin of Shreak than The Hulk...

Yeah fantastic performance in Chopper. He's a ride-and-a-half in that film too. Especially that scene where he whips out his knob at a bar. Err, yeah... The Hulk sounds very disappointing though, I'm a big Ang Lee fan myself so I had fingers crossed.

Maybe this movie just brings out the worst in all the actors that are in. I've never seen "Chopper" or him in anything else, so maybe he's only awful in HULK.

The mutant thing in X men defintely run parallel to the queer thing though.

Even Ice man's mom in X2

"Have you tried not being a mutant?"

Even without obvious lines like this, the metaphor did work very well. I thought anyway.

Saw the Hulk today. I was warned not to go, but had to see it for myself. It did have a very slow start and was thinking of walking out as well but enjoyed some scenes. The Hulk thought isn't the most exciting superhero compared to Spiderman or Superman.

The brothers behind the Matrix are rumoured to be working on a new Wonder Woman film. Loved the Wonder Woman series. Also there are rumours of a three hour epic Superman film that will not have any sequel no matter how successful.

The best comic book adaption has to be Tim Burton's Batman.

His vision of Gotham city mixed gothic with 1930's art deco which was amazing.

The wonder woman franchise has been in pre-pre-production for years now.
