Will & Grace (Jack & Karen) - VHS/DVD news

I'm a huge fan of this show but have only seen the first two years of it. I refuse to watch the new seasons on TV because I became a fan of it after taking a chance and buying some episodes on DVD.

Anyhow, the first two years are available on DVD & VHS but I just found out the first two DVDs and VHS' of Season 3 are to be released August 25th - that's Episodes 1 - 8 of Season 3. The next 8 episodes will be released in September, and then another 8 in October or November. Also, the Region 1 DVD of Season 1 is due August 12th.

By the way, why the hell did they never rename this great show to Jack & Karen or at least Will & Grace and Jack & Karen? Jack and Karen are much better than the slightly amusing but mostly boring girl-with-gay-best-friend storyline Will & Grace have going on...

Jack & Karen are secondary characters, they can be funnier because the writers can make them 2 dimensional. Renaming the show to Jack & Karen would be like renaming Father Ted to Father Dougal/Father Jack.

i read an interview with the producers of the show in either gay times or attitude 2 months ago and they said they had thought about renaming the show but decided not to for the exact same reasons that redbulljunkie said above.
The interviewer also said that Karen was very very very shy in real life and the second she went before the camera she adopted "the persona" - which apparently is quite frightening to see up close. Jack on the other hand is very much similar in real life as he is on screen apparently.
