Honesty.....Will we ever have it?

You know, i try to be honest in my life as much as i can be but why is it that others expect it and want it but never have the capacity to understand you have to give it aswell?
I suppose people lie to protect themselves or others but from my experience, when the truth does finially come out, it's allways a million times worse. Now im not saying i'm a saint or that i havn't said something untrue to either get me out of a situation or cover something up but as i said at the start, i am trying. "Others" don't seem to have a conscious or feel any guilt when lying and it come so naturally that "they" fail to see the damage it can do or trust it can break. All the little white lies "you" might think are doing no harm actually are.
Put the truth out there instead of covering up petty things, "you" would be amazed how much people will appriciate it.
