Remote Assistance?
I'm having trouble with my internet connection at the moment. I'm currently on a dodgey weak pirate signal because my O2 Broadband has stopped working. Everytime i connect it says: "A connection to the remote computer could not be estabilshed, so the port used for this connection was closed"click More info or search help and support centre for this error number" The bloody irratating thing is there is no "more info" link and to access the help and support you need to be connected to the internet What has happened and why has my port been closed? If it helps I put the usb modem in another port that I normally don't use for it and it's stopped connnecting to the interent since. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks |

To be honest it sounds like the modem drivers are at issue here.
It may also be clashing with something else. What changes were made to the laptop recently? New software, windows updates, etc? Last edited by admin; 15th March 2010 at 04:02 PM. |

Fixed!
There was a glitch in their system which "flagged" my modem (and others). Incredibly helpful and O2 are not going to charge me because I'm in a new month even though I've gone passed my date for the month, so it was them, not me ![]() Crisis averted On a more serious note Error 619 can be resolved by usually rebooting as admin suggested or re-installing the service pack for windows and cleaning your registry
