Silly Iris.

She was an amazing politician and a personal heroine of mine and her (ex?) husband is also an amazing man.

I hope they can reconcile what happened and that she is forgiven of her hypocrisy....It kind of explains why she lashed out on the gays - Her inner guilt was crushing her.

Guys, making jokes about ECT is not very funny. It's not infrequently used in Ireland to treat severe refractory depression and say what you want about Iris Robinson but I think we should refrain from further stigmatising mental illness.

Peter Robinson has been aware of it for 10 months now, but his press conference (from his own living room) was very very emotional. I've never liked those black protestants up north, but even i felt sorry for him.

Fair enough, she has depression and thats terrible...I just cant believe more people arnt gloating about this clearly hilarious turn of events.
