'popular' actress seriously injured in car jacking attempt
Carly Pope star of Ryan Murphy's first major hit before 'Glee', 'Popular' was seriously injured when a man jumped on the car she and her brother were driving through downtown Vancouver, when her brother left the car to confront the man he was knocked to the ground and the man got into the car driving off with Carly still in the car. Whether she jumped or was pushed from the car is uncertain but suffered cracked ribs and broken vertabrae as a result. The man ended up crashing the car into a building further down the street. Apparently he had just lost his job and had fought with his wife that morning. He now faces charges of assault, kidnapping and theft. The beautiful brunette who came to a grisly end on '24' as Samantha Roth can next be seen in NBC Sci Fi thriller 'Day One'.

I loved Popular! It was just so brilliant. Ms. Glass was one of the best characters.

Sad to hear about Carly Pope. Hope she recovers from it all.
