Gay Magazines
My views: GCN Well I think GCN is a great magazine. It's free, informative and entertaining. I think it serves the Irish gay community very well. It is a little too Dublin centred for my liking but I think we're very lucky to have it! Even if it were mean to GayCork.com once upon a time! ![]() free! I'm not a great fan of free! but I know a lot of other people like it. It is a handy size and as it says on the tin it is saor in aisce but I've never found anything very interesting to read in it. I think it's a cheap queen's equivalent of VIP... Gay Times Probably the best known gay mag but I'm begining to question whether it deserves to be. There are always one or two very interesting articles but when paying almost EUR6 I'd prefer to see less advertising. Attitude Often seen as Gay Times for younger, more scene orientated people in the UK. Maybe I fot the demographic but I do think Attitude is a more enjoyable magazine to read. Much less politcal then GT though and very male orientated. Diva I've only flicked through it and found it dissapointing.

My kind of discussion seeing as I'm a complete magazine whore!
GCN I really like the new GCN and miss the late lamented Gay Ireland that Brian Finnegan edited before helming GCN. I like the mix of serious articles and fluff. free! As a wan from the Glen would say: S'arite. No more no less. Gay Times I like GT but have to agree that we are essentially paying for half a magazine. The rest is all advertising! Attitude I love this magazine. I love their irreverence and their writing is always well considered. Plus, they used to doa "Naked" special annually but I've not seen one in a while. DIVA I've not read Diva but my lesbian friends find it an OK read apparently.

A lesbian mate of mind (God that makes her sound so "token"!) is at war with Diva because they dissed The L Word...
