I am going to be in Dublin this weekend and I have had a brain wave! I am going to visit Saint Valentines Shrine.

Valentine was a Roman Martyr executed under the Emperor Claudius in 280. In 1836 his relics that were exhumed from the catacombs of Saint Hippolytus on the Via Tiburtina near Rome,placed in a casket and transported to the Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church in Dublin (they were donated by Pope Gregory XVI)
I havent being in that church in years and I think it will be extra special to show some respect on his feast day.
Of course seeing as he is the Patron of 'Love' and 'Lovers' etc etc. I highly expect Orlando Bloom to be waiting outside the church for me. Valentine you have being warned

So that is how I'm going to mark St Valentines day this year well that and going out on the town on Friday the 13th

thats a really good idea should really have made an effort to see more stuff when i was in dublin...

i'm 'attempting' to make a special dinner for two...i regularly burn toast, and the only thing i seem to be able to cook is mince and spinach, but that aside, i'm going to try and do mushroom risotto...i don't want to post the whole plan cuz he might read this hehe

Well im single and do not have disposable income to visit nice churches etc so I spose its going to be a case of getting locked on tesco vodka and going out

The whitefriairs church is a lovely church, and they even have a pipe organ where the altar is!

Funny also that it's on the same street at the George and the Dragon
