Hi, Just hit 50. Kinda came out at 40 to a few people but never finished the job. Have set this right by telling all the people who matter to me over the last month. Of course big regrets now and cant understand what what the big deal with me. The big change for me was coming into contact with the Gay Bear scene on the Costa last year. Also have been to London at XXL and some great bars. Just came into contact with people like myself. Like a pint. A game of hurling etc. As said have had the chats with people and most all ok and those that could not hack it it was time to say goodbye. My question? Cork is a great but small city. Is there places mature gay men go or meet up for a pint. I know there is a club but just the same as a straight club I dont want to be the sad older guy with a load of kids Lol. My fav type of bar. Young and older. Gay and straight all in same place. Please help as cant go to afford to go to London every week Lol.
Cork being so small means that all gays, old and young, will be found in the gay bars, although granted the youngsters dominate! Loafers attracts a very mixed group, and even has a regular bear night itself (although I'm not sure how regular it is, it only restarted recently). Keep an eye out for the next bear night, maybe someone here could help? That would be a perfect starting point for meeting similar folk.

Hi Lads. Went to the bear night in Loafers last night. It was great and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The only problem now is whats on next week Lol P
Glad you liked it Pepper. As it happens a good few of us were there too, we went there after our meal meet-up. Gay Pride starts very soon so there might be a few things on over the next couple of weeks. Pick up a brochure from Loafers or The Other Place or Chambers and check it out
