Just curious as to how many here have met someone off the internet ? (exc gaycork meetups). I used think it was just the gay community... but after talking to my other friends... EVERYSINGLE ONE OF THEM has done it at least once. (The hetrosexual stories are alot funnier and embarressing ^_^) I know i have ... but is it as popular as i think, or are me and my friends just very strange ^_^ ?
I have met people from different music forums/fan clubs that I got friendly with through the net and that was really cool, we're still friends. I never met anyone for a ''date''..........or a shag though LOL

Max is no more innocent that I am I did this in my early days of coming out, it was interesting experience to say the least and it led me to setup this website as I wanted to make friends without the sexual tone of classifieds. That is why I've always kept them separate from the forum, and gaycork.com is unique with this as other Irish LGBT sites integrate them.

I always seam to end up in a big convoluted conversation on that and swapping life stories its great! its easy knowing I'm from Cork like! ToytownGermany.com was a life saver in Germany and i made soome great friends through that site that i really miss! I have alos met people off QID, bebo and facebook!

Once met someone online who I realised I had met some months previously and was friends with my friends, anyway we kinda clicked and met up a few times but, well, he was a boy... so that really wasn't gonna go anywhere was it. Outside of that i've just met people from on here and i brought a bodyguard!!!!
I met some of my best friends from the net through someone I met off bebo *nudges Max_baby*. Meeting up with him was one of the best decisions I made
I actually met my beloved on the net although admittedly it was through the dreaded gaydar. We met on good friday 3 yrs ago and had tea and ice cream, seeing as alcohol oculdn't be purchased LOL. But we're still together and strong aswell so go internet!

As I met my partner tcheincally because of GC as well. And I know of two other couples who met though this forum also I can't even begin to count the many friendships that have formed as a result
I met up with 2 people from the net when I first came to Cork and it was grand at the start but they both turned out to be mentallers. Disasterous both times - if I ever see them out now I hide! [=;] Then again all the people I've met from GC have been great - I watched ye organise meet ups a few times in the last year and I'm so glad I finally went to one.
