So happy about this - really needed given what happened in North Carolina and the back tracking in the UK since the local elections
Ive seen people being critical of this that he is trying to gain support from the liberals, seems silly that he is being attacked by supporters of gay marriage when there are so many opponents to do the same!
Brilliant news! Although I think this may end his run as president to be honest..... It'll be something that people respect him for for years to come though
The cynical part of me thinks that this is a mere election ploy.....but still, it's a move to be welcomed! I just hope Obama's conservative support base (mostly black and Hispanic Christians) don't turn away from him in droves because of this. I've always liked Obama and, even if his presidency has been somewhat underwhelming, he's still a much better choice than Mitt "forcibly cut hair that looks 'ghey' " the so-called moderate Republican Romney.
