Why do i always seem to get the gobshites to train at work?

I was training this new guy today,(kinda cute i must admit) when he told me he wouldn't be taking any orders from a "queer", oh i was fuckin livid.

What neither of us knew was that my manager heard the whole lot, called us aside and me boyo got his marching orders. I really thought that acceptance of sexual orientation had come further than that especially from a younger generation.

That's unbelievable Cully. Homophobia is certainly receding but it definitely still exists. How that dope thought he could get away with saying something like that without any sanction is incredible. Homphobic and dumb!

Had a project to hand up today, which was to develop a website with a fully functional shopping cart. All was well, got it done and tested it on a few different computers (different screen sizes and resolutions) and all the major web browsers, no problems presented.

That is until today when I brought it in and decided to test it one last time on the computer lab PCs in college. Tested it on Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari. Each browser had different problems from each other with positioning of page elements on different web pages!

I went through the code with a fine tooth comb but nothing was wrong. So I just threw my hands up in frustration and gave the project in anyway, it being too late to make major changes anyway.

Fuck those campus BIS lab computers in other words. End of very specific rant!

why do people not take you seriously when you say an elderly man is giving you abuse, the response 'ah sure god love him' does not wash with me, this man has everything done for him, a nurse and care staff taking care of him 24 hours a day and he hurls abuse at us left right and center, well there is 2 men in particular who do it, but nothing will be done because 'they dont know what they are saying', yes they do, they are fully aware of what they are saying but giving him alcohol behind our backs/sugar when hes a diabetic doesnt help us much, if it was the other way around i would be pulled up on it immediately

as much as i love working on the nursing home, world war 3 broke out at tea time, and i felt like i had 60 children today, not a good day, great to hear that a person who already has a rant on here thinks 'Men are far more superior to Women' how i held my composure is beyond me when he came out with that gem

The annoyingness of heading to the fridge looking for milk for your cup of tea (which is already made) only to find there is none there.

Therein lies your mistake. Never make a cup of tea untill you've checked that you have milk and/or checked that said milk is in date. I've forgotten the latter part once or twice.

this is yet another reason to put me off learning to drive, main problem for me is insurance

I got promised that I wouldn't be called to work tomorrow, due to the fact i have worked way over my contract hours last week and am due to work above them again this week, cue phone call to ask me to work 0730 to 2000, I say no, offer the hours to someone who is short hours this week, they ring back and say I am now working 1400 to 2200 tomorrow instead, one major disadvantage to working in a nursing home

but that's the way tea is supposed to be drunk, milk is for coffee
