Well! Seems like everyone has food on the brain, so time to organise a meal meetup!! As the great and God-like Admin is in Mayo (I think) for the next few days, we might save him a bit of work if we have the venue narrowed down a bit. I've listed on the poll what I thought to be the most popular choices in the meal meetup thread, so vote vote vote! (also for the ceoliacs out there, once we have it narrowed down to a few locations, I'll give the prospectives a call and see what kind of menus they offer)
He's in Sligo, even worse... Although I don't know who to feel more sorry for them or him The worst that Mayo has to deal it was Vonnie My vote is food sometime soon
Thanks Curley thats great. I voted Luigis because its great for big crowds and noisy LOL I hate Captain Americas
I haven't been to half these places. Is it possible to add an 'I don't care where/any of the above' option to the poll?
Actually, I tell a lie - I haven't been to *any* of them. But - and here's the brilliant thing about democracy - I still get to vote on which I think the best! Go kakocracy!
Well if you don't care about where we have it, sure hold off on the vote, that way we should get a fairly accurate result
I have to admit to liking Captain Americas. The steaks are good and I like cocktails. Luigis is ok but I do think CA is better value for money.
I voted for somewhere before even reading the thread. I've never been to Casanova's but would like to try it. But i reckon it's not suitable for a big crowd. If i could i'd take back my vote.
I chose Captain Americas as colleen & I ate there on saturday for a birthday party & I was very surprised that the food was actually nice. Good value too a normal buger & large portion of fries €9, dinner menu. I doubt if Luigi Malones could top that value plus the food quality there is extremely bad lately. Have a look at http://www.menupages.ie to see restaurant reviews by people as opposed to critics for a good indication of which venue to choose.
