I'm not sure about everyone else but there have been a LOT of new movie threads started recently. While not all of them are interesting to me I just tend to skip over them after seeing what it was about. But what has been most annoying are the interesting ones people post on! And how I can never remember them again and how they become lost in the bowls of the forum, I thought if we started a new thread where all the new movies and info could be gathered together here to stop multiple threads and make things easier to find! The big movies etc can have their own thread as having big movie discussions in a thread like this isn't always practical. It's just all the little ones! []
That's the idea I was going for. Big movies with lots of hype etc such as Avatar and Star Trek in the past demanded their own thread as it was necessary. But the wee little movies and movie news and updates relating to new movies and casting etc. are prob best posted here as it's a way of archiving for easy relocation later. Also keeps main page spam free... lol.
Thanks thats a good idea and sorry for being a bore We should have ONE for Eurovision and ONE for Drag too Maybe Admin or some other moderator can join the last few movies threads into this one?
I'm sure they're coming though By the way what is a sub forum? Don't the threads still pop up on the main page though?
It just means there is a section of the forum dedicated to it. Meaning that multiple threads are welcome in it. Just look at the new thread link, you can see all the sections there.
just read this and found it interesting. Fox and Stewart turned down Lara Croft role. source:Reel Empire 'Twilight' star almost a 'Tomb Raider'. This was something interesting our friend over at IESB learned about one of our beloved stars of Summit Entertainment's wildly popular "Twilight" franchise. "Transformers" star Meagan Fox was offered the role, but due to her being widely compared to Angelina Jolie in the past, taking the role would have only further fueled the comparison. Thus she understandably said, "Thanks, but no thanks!" Kristen Stewart was also offered the role, however, a deal between Warner Bros. and the actess couldn't be reached. Honestly, I'm glad for that outcome. I can't see Kristen portraying an icon as sexy as Lara Croft, particularly after Angelina Jolie once filled the shoes. personally i dont think anybody will ever better Jolie in the role but i do think that Megan Fox may have been a pretty good choice for the role.Kristen Stewart i wouldnt have thought of for the role but id be interested in seeing her do it,there's something about her.
Norrington Gives Upate On THE CROW Reboot source:ShockTillYouDrop.com It's been a few months since we've heard any updates on the proposed reboot for The Crow, which Blade director Stephen Norrington was attached to helm. While producer Ryan Kavanaugh gave a quick update about the project back in November, last month Norrington was announced as boarding The Lost Patrol, a World War II supernatural action thriller for Legendary Pictures. According to a brief chat with Mania, Norrington is still on board. "The producer and visual effects people are crunching numbers. We've opened discussions with major cast but nothing is final yet," says Norrington. Considering The Crow script is already completed and it is a hot property, he tells the web-publication that it'll probably shoot before The Lost Patrol, possibly by this summer. "Cast and budget and schedules will no doubt continue to adjust all equations." Based on James O'Barr's original self-produced '80s comic book, "The Crow" was the basis of the 1994 Alex Proyas movie starring Brandon Lee and went on to spawn three sequels.

this story at the moment is a rumour but the next few weeks will tell whether or it's actually true. Robert Buckley cast as Captain America? source:IGN February 20, 2010 - Rumor has it that Cap has been cast. Both IESB and Screenrant point out a (now missing) article at Comic Book Movie that claims TV actor Robert Buckley has landed the title role in Marvel's forthcoming movie The First Avenger: Captain America. We checked all over ComicBookMovie.com and couldn't find the existing article, while the link provided by IESB didn't work as of end of day PST Saturday. So we must caution you that this story should be deemed rumor until reported otherwise. The film's director, Joe Johnston, recently said the role of Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, would be cast by the end of this month. Buckley, a 28 year-old native Californian, has appeared on TV series such as One Tree Hill, Lipstick Jungle, American Heiress and Fashion House. According to the IMDB, Buckley stands 6'2" and is a model-turned-actor. The First Avenger: Captain America begins filming this summer in London.
Thats a terrible idea, each movie deserves its own thread and I for one will be continuing to post them individually. You dont want to read it then don't click on the post. The entertainment section is made for film, book, music reviews and thats enough of a seperation.
Now that he makes the point i'm gonna have to say that i agree with Candlemansa on this. All entertainment related posts are posted in the Entertainment section and if a person doesn't wanna read or reply to the the post then that's cool.Plus i still think that posting these stories separately is a much better idea 'cos if a person sees the headline of a story they're interested in at least they know the story's there whereas posting them in this thread they may not realise the story's there. So absolutely i think posting them individually is much better and i'm gonna continue doing so myself.
I think the point that Earlstvincent had was that in about 4 days 12 new threads arose about movies that would probably never have been updated again.
The Last Airbender!!! 5 months!! It's released in early July here, and late July-early Aug in Ireland and the UK.
