Ok so instead of creating a tv fall schedule 2011 im just going do a generic thread that can do for next year as well. Add on pics and traliers of new shows and any news

    The Event

"The Event" is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.

    Chase

From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI franchise, The Amazing Race, Pirates of the Caribbean) and Jennifer Johnson (Cold Case) comes a lightning-fast game of cat and mouse that drops you right in the middle of the action.

U.S. Marshals Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish, Past Life) likes to stay one step ahead of the outlaws. As far as this cowboy boot-wearing girl is concerned, they can run, but they can't hide from her forever. Annie has a sharp mind, a big heart, and an attitude to match. Throw in a unique perspective and personal style, and she is the reason you don't mess with Texas.

Jump aboard this rollercoaster ride. It's all about the thrill of the chase.

    Undercovers

From acclaimed filmmaker J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Fringe, Lost, Alias) and Executive Producer Josh Reims (Brothers and Sisters) comes a one-hour spy drama that proves marriage is still the world's most dangerous partnership.

To put the spark back in their marriage, some couples take a tropical vacation. Not Steven and Samantha. They rejoin the CIA. Now they're discovering things about each other they never knew. Like which lock-picking technique each prefers, and who killed who, and how well they work together in a hostile environment.

With their day jobs and lives in the balance, date night is about to get a lot more exciting.

    Persons Unknown

Persons Unknown is a one-hour mystery drama in which a group of strangers must come together to solve the puzzle of their lives. The series is from Oscar-winning writer Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) who executive-produces with Heather McQuarrie and Remi Aubuchon. The series stars Alan Ruck (Spin City) and Jason Wiles (Third Watch).

    The Cape

From the visionary team of Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun comes an imaginative adventure about a dad who would do anything to protect his family.

Officer Vince Faraday was a good cop trying to clean up a corrupt city. Framed for murder and left for dead, he suddenly found himself separated from his wife and son and forced into hiding. Now, inspired by his son's favorite comic book hero, he's taking the law into his own hands, and playing a deadly game of chess with the powerful kingpin who framed him. With the hope of one day reuniting with his family, The Cape is sending a loud message to all criminals... run.

    Persons Unknown

Watched the pilot of "Persons Unknown", its not bad. Kind of like a very mild Saw meets The Prisoner. Can be good if they have good storylines fleshed out.

    Plot - 7/10
    Acting - 8/10
Possiblility of it being cancelled by the middle of next week? Probably

I watched Persons Unknown as well and really enjoyed it, its nothing new but it will be interesting to see this style of story in a TV series format as opposed to a film, I always felt the Cube Franchise had so much more to tell and while Perons Unknown is no Cube it has enough similar aspects to warrent my interest. :D

Must have missed this post back in May, interesting bunch of shows there. Too bad most of the trailers have been removed from YouTube. I did get a few episodes of 'Persons Unknown' & just watched the first one, looks like it could be good so will try a few more.

Laura Linney heads a new Showtime show called The Big C. It looks like another great Showtime comedy/drama ala Weeds, Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara. I love all three shows so much it's not even funny.

The Big C also stars Oliver Platt and Gabourney Sibide.

The first episode can be viewed here (although the swears/nudity are edited out:()

Overall a great pilot, a bit introductory-ish but some funny moments and if we ever needed any more proof that Laura Linney is a GODDESS it's there.

Our giant guide to fall TV that will satisfy your science fiction cravings

From the lovely people at i09.com

Set your DVR's: we've got the entire schedule of can't-miss science fiction and fantasy television. The good news is, fall TV offers more of Fringe's red-haired alternate Olivia Dunham. Plus rogue spies, weird conspiracies, superpowered families... and the Walking Dead.

    RETURNING: The Vampire Diaries
What's happening this season: Sounds like this season it's the same old, same old for the vampire brothers with magical accessories that allow them out into the sunlight. Love, brood, love, make a bad situation worse with their vampirism, brood, love, end up having to work together... even though they hate each other! Gasp. Oh, and there's going to be werewolves.
    Where: CW
    When: September 9th 8/7c, Thursday

    NEW: Nikita
What's happening this season: This brand new reboot of much beloved femme fatale character La Femme Nikita. The sexy spy main character is being played Maggie Q, whom you may remember from Mission: Impossible III. The premise of this new reboot seems similar to the past seasons, Nikita is a sexy spy, who wears sexy outfits and kicks a lot of ass, sexily. Whether or not she's been brainwashed in this particular television show still remains to be seen. All we know is, this once deadly weapon of the government is "going rogue." That is literally the synopsis: "La Femme Nikita goes rogue." But we're a sucker for girls who kick ass, so we're in.
    Where: CW
    When: September 9th 9/8c, Thursday

    RETURNING: Venture Brothers

What's happening this season: The boys are back in town, with a brand new episode called, "The Diving Bell VS. The Butterglider" and we're already laughing. Nothing we write will ever be as funny as this show, so we've just decided to post the new season trailer above, enjoy.
    Where: Cartoon Network
    When: September 12th, 11PM [Sunday]

    RETURNING: Clone Wars

What's happening this season: It's the third season of the Clone Wars and somehow trainee Jedi Ahsoka Tano is still alive! How much longer can she last? This season not only do we get to meet Darth Maul's brother, hilariously named Savage Opress, but Tano starts having premonitions, and rumor has it the Mandalorians will be back. But really the whole world is just holding its collective breath for the eventual demise of the adorable baby Jedi.
    Where: Cartoon Network
    When: September 17th, 8/7c [Friday]

    RETURNING: Chuck

What's happening this season: the Buy More blew up and Chuck's dad died. To make matters even worse, Chuck promised to give up being a spy forever. How long do you think he can keep that promise? Considering the Buy More is going to be reopened as a wholly owned CIA front company, probably not that long.
    Where: NBC
When: September 20th at 8/7c [Monday]

    RETURNING: House
What's happening this season: While it's not really hard science fiction, the science in House is worthy enough (and bizarre enough) to warrant a mention here. Plus it's House — he's amazing. This year, Amber Tamblyn is joining the cast as the new "13" now that Olivia Wilde is gone. And if you remember the cliffhanger from last year, we'll probably be seeing a lot more love between Cuddy and House. Will these two crazy kids ever make it work? But one thing we do know for sure is, it's never Lupus.
    Where: Fox
When: September 20th at 8/7c [Monday]

    NEW: The Event

What's happening this season: Possibly the most anticipated series this year, and there's a reason people are starting to call this show the new Lost, because it's complicated. We saw the pilot at San Diego Comic Con, and it blew us away. Here's the official synopsis:

The Event is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, The Class), an Everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Leila (Sarah Roemer, Disturbia), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez (Blair Underwood, Dirty Sexy Money); Sophia (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, ER), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean's shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson, Gilmore Girls). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.

    Where: NBC
When: September 20th at 9/8c [Monday]

    NEW: Undercovers

What's happening this season: J.J. Abrams new dramedy Undercovers features a retired spy couple who are now living the simple life in the suburbs. Sadly minivans and rose gardens just can't hold a candle to "sexpionage," secret identities and jumping out of planes. So naturally, the two reboot their marriage by getting back into the old spy game. This series actually looks like it's got a lot of heart, so we're rooting for this seemingly softer Alias-type show. And hoping Abrams adds more "spy-fi" elements like insane gadgets and weird McGuffins soon.
    Where:NBC
    When: September 22 [Wednesday]

    RETURNING: Fringe

What's happening this season: We cannot WAIT to find out what's going to happen to Olivia this year after last season's cliffhanger left her abandoned in the mirror-verse. Will her evil half destroy Peter and Walter? Is her other half even really that evil? From the latest season promo, it doesn't look like our Olivia is taking the switcheroo lightly. Here's to more Fringe, and to Olivia shooting first and asking questions later.
    Where: Fox
When: September 23rd at 9/8c [Thursday]

    RETURNING: Medium
What's happening this season: The psychic detective — not the fake ones, the REAL psychic detective — will wake up in the middle of the night after having a murder vision. She will then solve said murder in a timely manner with minimal deaths.
    Where: CBS
    When: September 24th [Friday]

    RETURNING: Smallville
What's happening this season: Is Clark's secret safe with Lois... Yes. Will Chloe and Oliver ever be together... No, probably not. But there's no time to waste — this season's big villain is Darkseid. It's the final season of Smallville, probably, so who will live and who will die?
    Where: CW
When: September 24th at 8/7c [Friday]

    RETURNING: Supernatural

What's happening this season: We're not sure how Supernatural can top last year's holy fireworks, but it certainly seems like they're going to try. Sam's back from hell and ready to get back into the demon fighting with Dean. But is Dean retired? We'll see. Plus whatever happened to their half brother Adam, who also took a trip to hell with Sam? Hopefully we'll find out this season.
    Where: CW
When: September 24th at 9/8c [Friday]

    NEW: No Ordinary Family

What's happening this season: A family vacation gone wrong. After a mysterious plane incident, a suburban family gets super powers. Think of it as a live action Incredibles. Hopefully this season will manage to be half as enchanting as the Pixar movie.
    Where: ABC
    When: September 28th 8/7c [Tuesday]

    RETURNING: Stargate Universe

What's happening this season: Note the big date change. We left Destiny in the throes of a hostile Lucian alien take over. Many characters were considered dead, or dying. Presumably we'll pick up right where we left off, with a gun pointed at the face of our fearless leader, Young. Let's hope these two races can learn to work together or there's not hope for this crew's "destiny."
    Where: Syfy
    When: September 28th 8/9c [Tuesday]

    RETURNING: Sanctuary

What's happening this season: Also moving to Tuesday nights. Syfy promises that Dr. Helen Magnus and her crew will face "a host of new and daunting abnormals, embark on adventures with both new and familiar faces and unravel some of the secrets woven through the Sanctuary's rich past." And Caprica's Polly Walker will guest star for a two-episode arc.
    Where: Syfy
    When: September 28th 10/9c [Tuesday]

    NEW: The Walking Dead

And then there's possibly the most long-awaited television show premiering this fall: AMC's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's classic comic. The Walking Dead will be six episodes of zombie mayhem and apocalyptic action. Police officer Rick Grimes wakes up in a world that's falling apart, and searches for his family. We can't wait to see what Frank Darabont does with this zombie classic.
    Where: AMC
    When: October

Some of those look quite good Shiva, can't wait for return of Fringe and Supernatural. The Event looks quite good as well!
  15. Shiva is a volcano of glitter!

Fringe ended on a real high, I cannot wait for it. The event is available to view online but only with a US ip. Someone will have have a copy for "use" for non US citizens shortly I'd say.
