    You are all very welcome to the new GayCork.com Forums which are now powered by Xenforo. :)

    Things look very different, and more than likely confusing at first, but your login, posts, pm's (etc...) are the same as the old forum software.

    If you can't login for some reason, do a password reset, and fail that email me directly webmaster@gaycork.com

    There are many many new features to this forum, which I shall post about in the coming days.

    However in the meantime I have many things yet to do, so I ask your patience re same.

    What's new?
    • Mobile Skin - The forums now have a friendly mobile skin, so what you browse on your mobile (smart) phone the forums will be optimised for your screen size.
    • Media Embedding - It is now MUCH easier to embed youtube (and other) clips. Clikc on the film icon when posting and just paste the video url
    • Recent Activity - An activity feed of user actions on the forum.
    • Your newsfeed - An customised activity feed of poeple you follow
    • Login with Facebook - You can now use Facebook to login with should you wish. Associate you Facebook account here

    What's different and was not imported.
    • Blogs - These are still being imported, and fingers crossed they shall be online soon.
    • Reputation - This is now very much different as the system is based on likes. However previous reputation was imported and converted to likes.
    • Arcade - This was not imported, but it's something I shall look at later on
    • Albums - Kind of imported, but I'm not sure if we'll have an album going forward.

    About the media embedding, it seems line old posts with youtube links are not being shown up. Is that going to be looked into?

    I like the sleek look of the site.
    Just one thing that slightly gets me - how do I get to the last post in a thread quickly?
    It's also quite difficult to do this on the phone now.
    The new screen size is great though :)

    Just did youtube, am working on the rest now ;)

    I agree that is confusing, however, click on the last post time: e.g. "2 minutes ago" and that will bring you to the last post.

    It's going to take me ages to figure out this following business. There are people following me, so I feel like I'm being stalked.
    And I'm following other people.....so I feel like I'm going to get arrested for stalking.

    This is why I didn't fall for Twitter. It feels so...deviant.
